I would like to share a little bit of me, my passion, my mission and my works.

Hi, my name is Rossina. Welcome to my world of colors. It all started a long time ago when I was 11 years old when i felt in love with art in school. I was born in Peru and at the age of 16 I immigrated to the USA. Houston was my home until almost 5 years ago when I moved to the Rocket City of Huntsville this time with my own family. I am married and I have a daughter named Matisse who I share the joy of painting with.

Huntsville has been my “lucky city”. Now a days my everyday life is surrounded by a blending of colors, movements and happiness.

In 2020, I published my first children’s book with great success and dedication. “Please, I want to see papa again” “Por favor, quiero ver a papa otra vez” is a bilingual book based on my family's immigration story. A moving story that I feel very proud and happy to share with you.

Many ask what inspires me and to be honest, inspiration usually finds me without me looking for it. It is everywhere and surrounds me. It is the people, their stories, distant places, a landscape, a flower, the deep sea, a country, its culture, moments of happiness and so on. All of these serves as inspiration to create paintings that reflect who I am and what I am trying to tell. Every painting has its own story.

When I blend colors, I feel that I am breathing. I usually try not think or analyze so much what I am doing. I let myself go. Sometimes, I get lost half way but the canvas and I find our way in the end. The results can be amazing. My paintings revives homes and brings joy to families and that for me is enough.

Biography

Rossina Boyer currently lives in Huntsville, AL. Earlier that year, she was also selected as a Voice of Huntsville by The Scout Guide of Huntsville, AL. She has been accepted to several art festivals, including Panoply and Montesano Art Fest.
